Although legislation that is passed in Congress and by the federal government by less than 600 elected officials, it effects more than 300 million people individually including you. Targeting national issues plays an important part in the larger reproductive justice movement. Policy that is passed by the federal government affects every person. It is up to you to put pressure on Congress and the Administration to make the right decisions when it comes to issues such as upholding Roe v. Wade (1973) and repealing the Hyde Amendment (1976). Broad national issues need the input of our young people everywhere. We know that together, we have an impact on what happens nationally. By educating ourselves on these issues and fighting for our rights, we can achieve a vision of reproductive justice. |
