GROW

Choice USA partners with the United States Student Association to bring Grassroots Organizing Weekends to students on college campuses in the spring and fall.

USSA is the largest national student organization in the country, and has been doing direct action organizing for more than 50 years. The GROW training program began in 1985. Because student leadership is constantly changing, GROW teaches techniques to build and sustain organizations over time.

"USSA believes that education is a right, not a privilege, regardless of gender or income. Tuition increases and inadequate financial aid affect access to education; unplanned pregnancies do too. GROW gives students the skills to use their power to effect positive change on campus. It teaches students to organize strategically to win concrete victories, from increased student aid to improved reproductive health care and choice. Every student activist should take advantage of GROW." - Adam Klaus, Former USSA GROW Coordinator.
