Choice USA is back from the United States Social Forum and…  

We want to take this opportunity to highlight some of our accomplishments and give thanks to some wonderful people we met at the US Social Forum. First off, a BIG THANKS to Atlanta International Hostel for their hospitality! Congratulations to Jobs with Justice on their 60 year anniversary! Last but certainly not least, thank you to all the people and organizations whose vision and tirelessness made the Social Forum possible.

At USSF, Choice USA’s Reproductive Justice Youth Ambassadors played an integral role in placing youth at the center of discussions around reproductive and sexual health and social justice. Beyond facilitating three workshops and participating in more than 250 workshops, the Reproductive Justice Youth Ambassadors engaged more than 500 USSF-goers in a cross-movement, cross-border solidarity campaign for flower workers in Colombia and Ecuador. 

Since we’ve returned, we have been hard at work, following up with contacts from the Social Forum, brainstorming and collaborating on new and exciting intersectional campaigns, building chapters on new campuses, and growing and expanding the flower campaign.
